Constructing fast and representative analytical models of wind turbine main bearings

چکیده

Abstract. This paper considers the modelling of wind turbine main bearings using analytical models. The validity simplified representations used in existing work is explored by comparing main-bearing force reactions with those obtained from higher-fidelity 3D finite-element Results indicate that there good agreement between and models case a non-moment-reacting support (such as for double-row spherical roller bearings), but same does not hold moment-reacting tapered bearings). Therefore, new model developed which moment at bearing are captured through addition torsional springs. latter shown to significantly improve case. then investigate load characteristics, terms forces moments, this type across different operating points conditions.
